President-designate Niwano Gives Guidance to Overseas Youth Leaders

On November 22, a special guidance meeting for overseas leaders of Rissho Kosei-kai was held in the International Conference Room of Fumon Hall at the organization's Tokyo headquarters. President-designate Kosho Niwano welcomed 11 youth leaders from the organization's overseas Dharma Centers, including centers in the United States, Thailand, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, and India.

The meeting began with pledges by representative youth leaders of each Dharma Center to devote themselves to further study of the Lotus Sutra, spiritual guidance to fellow members, and volunteer work as a bodhisattava practice.

In her guidance, President-designate Niwano quoted Founder Nikkyo Niwano's frequent saying "I have never failed in life because I have always persevered in my efforts till I succeeded." She added, "We would like to continue our religious practice with hope for a bright future, sharing our experiences as well as studying with one another as fellow members of our Sangha in Japan and overseas." She urged members to be confident that they could overcome all difficulties.
