Sixteen university student members of Rissho Kosei-kai visited South Korea August 19-23. They were participants in the sixth All Japan Student Seminar held by the Youth Department of Rissho Kosei-kai, and the tour was organized as an overseas study program for the seminar participants.
On August 20, the seminar participants visited the Independence Hall of Korea in Cheonan City to learn about Korea's history and cultural heritage.
On the morning of the 21st they visited a facility of Won Buddhism in Seoul where they were joined by student members of Won Buddhism, and together they participated in a two-day study program. When Rev. Kim Dae-seon, director of the department of cultural and social affairs of Won Buddhism, addressed the students, he mentioned the importance of making a habit of expressing in words our thanks to all who help us in daily life.
