Mongolian Ambassador Visits Rissho Kosei-kai Headquarters

Mongolian Abassador visits RK HeadquartersMongolia's ambassador to Japan, Mr. Sodovjamts Khurelbaatar, visited Rissho Kosei-kai headquarters in Tokyo on June 15. He conferred with Rev. Yasutaka Watanabe, chair of Rissho Kosei-kai's Board of Trustees. Rev. Yoshio Jinbo, president of Kosei College of Nursing (KCN), and Rev. Shoko Mizutani, director of Rissho Kosei-kai International, were also present.

Rissho Kosei-kai and KCN started a joint program with the Health Sciences University of Mongolia (HSUM) in December 2009, to create opportunities for HSUM students to study nursing at KCN. The Mongolian government coordinates the program to develop human resources in the field of medicine in that country.In November 2010, the first two students came to Japan. After studying the Japanese language, they enrolled in the KCN last April.

During the talk, Mr. Khurelbaatar thanked Rissho Kosei-kai for its support of the Mongolian students and said he hoped Rissho Kosei-kai's teaching and religious spirit would enhance their nursing skills. Before the meeting, Mr. Khurelbaatar visited the Great Sacred Hall and was given a tour of Kosei General Hospital.
